-REMEMBRANCE-
On the road to Kieri near the foot of the nearby mountains, a monument has been placed to honor those who fell during the recent disasters. A large ceremony was held for all who wished to join. In addition, a building is being erected close-by to serve as a remembrance hall. During the official ceremony, IWR leader Levyse spoke on behalf of the alliance.
"We are gathered here on this day to honor and remember the lives that were hurt and lost to us from the devastation last month. Millions of lives were directly afflicted by the rifts, yet millions more are now changed by the wreckage left behind. People come and go in this ever-shifting land, but all are remembered with love and gratitude. I would like a moment of silence for those lives we yearn to grieve.

It is clear that Novus'Olum wears many wounds from the incident. These wounds will heal. For our resilience, our power, and most of all, our devotion will carry us to greater heights. We, as the people of Novus'Olum, a world of all worlds, will lean on each other to stand back up again. Every blow, however great, we shall take as an opportunity for poise and growth. Now is the time to not simply recover, but to transcend. Although our streets may be ravaged, and our hearts hurt and heavy, I know we have the strength to revive life here on Novus'Olum. Now is the time to take action, and restore this world. Together, we can step into a new age of glory that honors the afflicted and the fallen.
As we take steps through this dark time, let us look toward the light of tomorrow."

-LOVE IS IN THE AIR-
In the forests near Vonkurbyl, a strange pink mist has been enveloping large portions of the forest. It's not inherently dangerous, but exposure seems to make the victim have intense feelings similar to love or endearment, and even almost aphrodisiac-like effects. The people of Vonkurbyl have been mostly unaffected, but have raised mainly complaints as of late about such events slowing their productivity. This phenomenon is new to the Alliance, and various members have been dispatched to investigate for scientific and control purposes. It is suggested one proceed with environment suits, or similar gear in order to prevent exposure.

Mission Overview:
In Rekazi, after months of studying on the captured NeXus, a breakdown happened once again in the Monster Taming division. A handful NeXus escaped, and one changed physical state and escaped us with a general ease. Thus far, several rifts appeared around our continent. Not the usual small ones, but rather huge ones surrounded by little branches. Be careful around those. We have also sighted a new type of NeXus started roaming around now. Following are the informations about the rifts, as well as the new discoveries on NeXus and this new type.
Detailing of the possible interventions:
Location #2: Tinesar — Tinesar has seen the apparition of several micro rifts into its swamps. Swamps are a natural resource used to produce several good in Novus’Olum, such as clear water for agriculture, and bricks and stones for construction. The main fear is the corruption may flow through the underground networks of tunnels and caves, thus contaminating the resources for our everyday life. Investigate the sources and swamps that were contaminated and use Astral Bikes’s repair system to close the smaller rifts to secure other clean swamps around. Beware of the NeXus.
Location #6 -> #8 <- #7 : The main commercial roads leading to Rekazi have been struck by Rifts. Travel is unsafe as lower level NeXus, the Husks (read below), are roaming around freely. Protect the organized cargos caravans from wild attacks, cure any corruption infection if needed and able.
Location #9: In the high mountain upwards Kieri, a rather huge rift opened and produced a variated NeXus population. You will meet Husks of every level, with the possibility of Haunts. Contain them within the mountain, save the local fauna to avoid extermination, evacuate the smaller mountain villages. If meeting a Haunt or higher level Husks, contact the HQs for reinforcements.
Location #7 -> #4 : One of the initial rifts, never known for bringing NeXus but rather like a black hole of appearances and disappearances. Monitor it, keep civilians/local fauna away, help possible rift-runners that aren’t corrupted.
Location #10 - #11 - #12 : Travel by sea and by land between those three towns has been almost completely cut. Patrol the surroundings to prevent any inexperienced travelers from coming across the rift. Help them across with the Astral Bikes and other devices (such as magnetic vans or dragons whatever. Be creative, we have the future of Novus’Olum in our hands) to get past the Rift safely.
For working around the rifts, you will be required to equip yourself with survival-fighting suits to prevent any corruption within our members. This is intended to reduce the chance of corruption infection in our agents.

Precautions to take around the NeXus:
- Evaluate its level
- Size doesn’t matter, its speed and aggression are critical in determining its threat level
- Don’t leave an open wound inflicted by the NeXus, seek medical attention ASAP
- Get equipped with a fighting survival suit
How to get rid of a NeXus:
- Aim for the eyes. It’s their weak point.
- If the level indicates that scaring them off is an option, do so if needed.
- If the situation is bad, attempt to contain them and call for reinforcements
Leveling
Husks: The peons who are more focused on destruction and gaining power to further destruction.
- Level 1 - New or fresh neXus/inexperienced. Hasn’t absorbed anything, is still aggressive/violent and may attack you when it sees an opening, but pretty easy to scare off.
- Level 2 - Has begun to absorb other neXus, pretty violent but not too hard to scare off by beating it a little.
- Level 3 - Have absorbed a few other neXus, highly aggressive, but recedes when heavily damaged.
- Level 4 - Have absorbed a lot of other neXus, highly aggressive, and have grown brazen and fearless, thus are very dangerous.
- Level 5 - Incredibly dangerous. Attack patterns are akin to nothing less than a berserker rage. Call for immediate support and leader back-up. May become a haunt at any moment.
Haunts: Seems to focus mostly on spreading the corruption. Handle with care.
Leveling still unknown.
Mission Requirements:
The Missions can be fulfilled through either visual works or written pieces. This can be single images, comics, animations, games, script writing, stories etcetera, pretty much anything you want. Have fun with them, try something new or stay with what you’re comfortable working with it’s up to you. Each of the Divisions require at least one or two pieces to be completed, but naturally you can always do more than that. We just ask that the work be complete, so no rough work or scraps etc. Just do your best and have fun with them! >u<b
The only thing we will not accept (aside from incomplete pieces) are copy and pasted RP logs. The missions are additional work, but RP excerpts can always be added in the artist's comments to explain and accent your work.
Submitting:
Each piece, visual or written, should be submitted to the Missions folder once they are done. For collaboration pieces everyone who participated in the collaboration must submit a separate submission to the folder. Yes we know this will spam but this way we make sure everyone gets credit for completing the mission. =u=b
Role Playing the Missions:
Each Mission is open for being role played, just ask a fellow member or if you want a Hosted RP feel free to ask a mod. Every week a day of the weekend will be set to rp within the mission only. You will be able to vote the order you wish for each week or two. For better organization, events in chats will starts around 5pm GMT each saturday. The completion of each event will bring up the next step forward to the next mission.
